Health Spotlight: National Handwashing Awareness Week

The flu season is upon us, and many of us are experiencing the effects. Particularly, in our schools.  Frequent hand washing is the most important preventive measure to help ward off germs.

Last week, December 1st - December 7th was National Hand Washing Awareness Week and we wanted to share some tips on preventing illnesses from spreading by using the proper handwashing technique.

Below are tips from Henry The Hand on proper handwashing technique:

1. Always wash your hands when they are dirty and especially BEFORE eating.

2. Do not cough into your hands.

3. Do not sneeze into your hands.

4. And last but certainly not least, never put your fingers into your eyes, nose or mouth.
